Blair George

CR, CKBR, President
Blair began Ideal Construction in 1985 after working in the construction/remodeling field for several years. He holds Certified Remodeler and Certified Kitchen & Bath Remodeler certificates through NARI. He has served on the board with NARI as treasurer. Blair handles the sales process with Ideal and overall management of the business. Blair’s personality of steadiness and calmness is reassuring to our customers. Blair enjoys camping, fishing and trips to the Boundary Waters; but most of all, "Papa Bear" enjoys being a grandpa to his two grandchildren.

Wayne Deway

CLC, Vice President, Project Manager
Wayne has been one of the owners of Ideal for the past 21 yrs. and is a Certified Lead Carpenter through NARI. He works as Project Manager for Ideal, overseeing all of the projects and helping them flow more smoothly. Wayne & his wife Darlene live in south Minneapolis and are the parents of 3 grown daughters. He loves to get away for trips on his motorcycle and hunts whenever he gets a chance. He enjoys playing guitar along with other instruments, and plays for fun in a band with other remodelers.

Sue George

Office Manager, Estimator
Married to Blair, Sue is involved in the estimating and office management. She is the hub of the company communication in the office and enjoys researching new products and finding the best match for our clients. Blair & Sue have 3 grown children and 2 grandchildren. Sue loves biking and gardening. She considers herself a "plant-a-holic", as she continues to add to and rearrange her perennial flowerbeds.

Erik Berg

CLC, Lead Carpenter
Erik grew up with a hammer in his hand, working with his dad on various projects. He was home-schooled in construction. He has completed the NARI program Lead Carpentry Certification. Erik is an excellent finish carpenter and always enjoys a challenge. The more unique the project, the happier he is. He enjoys learning new skills in carpentry and loves to have the latest tool. Erik lives in Robbinsdale with his wife Nicki. He enjoys music, fishing and playing in his band.

Brian George

CC, Lead Carpenter
As Blair & Sue’s son, Brian grew up surrounded by sawdust and at a young age was helping his dad on projects. He has been working full-time with Ideal for the past 7 yrs. Brian has an eye for detail and is a skilled and efficient worker. He has completed the NARI Certified Carpentry class and is in the process of being certified as a Lead Carpenter. Brian lives in Fridley with his wife Virginia and 2 small children. Brian is involved in his community as a “paid-on-call” firefighter. He loves camping, fishing and trips to the Boundary Waters.

Brian Winkleblack

CC, Lead Carpenter
At 6’7”, you will probably be looking up to Brian. He is Mr. “On-time”, always at least a few minutes early for work. He has been with Ideal for 7 yrs. and has completed the Certified Carpentry class through NARI. Brian enjoys big trucks, auto racing, music and puttering with vehicles. He is married to Trish and has a young daughter who likes to boss him around.

Virginia George

Office Assistant, Estimator
Married to Brian, Virginia’s organizational and computer skills are put to good use as she works part time in the office. Most of her time is devoted to being a mom to their 2 kids. Virginia enjoys knitting, reading and camping.
